Measuring the velocity of tracer ammunition has always been a complex challenge due to the intense light emitted by tracers, which typically causes conventional optical gates to malfunction. Our company has developed the world’s only system capable of accurately measuring the speed of tracer ammunition, overcoming this issue. Using specialized high-speed optical gates and advanced spectrum analysis, our system eliminates interference from tracers and muzzle flashes, ensuring precise measurements.

This innovative design replaces standard infrared transmitters and receivers with a unique approach that filters out unwanted signals from tracers, making it as easy to measure tracer ammunition as it is to measure standard rounds. The system is designed to work seamlessly with the Ballistic Analyzer BA08M (and previous models), benefiting from the analyzer’s excellent performance and integrating directly for high-precision velocity measurements.

Key features of this system include its ability to measure a wide range of ammunition calibers from 4mm to 100mm (with options for larger sizes), with velocities ranging from 50 to 2000 m/s and a measurement inaccuracy of less than 0.2%. The system’s robust design meets strict EMC requirements, and its coaxial cable connections ensure durability and low maintenance costs.

In short, this is the only system in the world that can reliably handle tracer ammunition, offering unmatched accuracy and performance for ballistic testing.
